We collected some donations for the Rural Fire Service with signs and sealed buckets. Kayakers and canoeists called out thanks, as did cyclists and walkers passing by. Phone calls from Graffiti Removal Day in Sydney wished us well and checked in with progress. We still have some to finish - the colorbond sheds closer to the bridge will be done in a couple of weeks time. Mark Lowe from Newcastle City Council has been a tower of strength and good humour.
What troopers! Thanks to Thea, Fiona, Joshua, Greg, Mark, Betty, Chrissie, Jill, John,Julia, Patrick, Trish, Diana, Gary, and Damien. 120 metres long, we painted out scribbles and some larger Graffiti "art" pieces. The top line of paint was the subject of quite a lot of joshing and mock disparagement about "freestyle" versus "straight". Whatever - it was 110% on what was there before.
